IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE CEO OF PA CONNECTING COMMUNITIES.

To our many friends and supporters of PA Connecting Communities (PACC),

Update from initial temporary stop of services occurring on 09/22/2020:

Every employee and or client who attended any Allegheny County North or South Hills event, class, activity, or small group from 09/10/2020 – 09/22/2020 has been notified to stop services and quarantine due to possible increased risk of Exposure to COVID-19. On 09/22/2020 when PACC was notified and identified risk locations, we immediately stopped programs for all Allegheny County North and South Hills activities until at least Monday, knowing we needed time to contact trace and asses further operations. Based on contact tracing and exposure risk in cooperation with PACC Board of Directors and Allegheny County Department of Human Services (ACDHS), Office of Developmental Supports (ODS), (formerly the Office of Intellectual Disability), with safety efforts:

PACC will continue to temporarily halt all services for all clients and employees who attended any (even 1) Allegheny County North or South Hills program from 09/10/2020 – 09/22/2020….. for full 14 day quarantine beginning Tuesday 09/22/2020 until 10/05/2020, and resume regularly scheduled service delivery on Tuesday 10/06/2020 October 6th, 2020! This does NOT impact our many other services in Allegheny County or all other services in 11 counties of South Western, PA unless the employee or client attended one of Allegheny County North or South Hills events from 9/10/2020 – 9/22/2020!!!!

PACC will continue to provide services to any person (impacted by this quarantine) whose health or safety would be comprised if services were to cease. All clients and or their families as well as PACC employees, Support Coordinators, Allegheny County DHS and ODP State, have been contacted. Please contact PACC with any additional questions and or concerns from the provided contact list below. Your Habilitation Specialist and other Staff will be available for you to call and we will increase our virtual classes and programs during this time. Call us if you need anything, we are here for you!

Thank you for your continued support of PACC during these unprecedented times!

Sincerely,

Kelly O’Malley CEO

Dear friends, families and supporters of PACC:

Due to a positive COVID-19 Diagnosis within PACC, we are cancelling all PACC events, classes, activities, and programs listed in the Yellow book, Home & Community and Community Participation Services, and possible other services, until at minimum Monday September 28th, 2020. We will continue to support all individuals whose health and safety would be in jeopardy if we did not provide immediate services. We are contacting all clients and or their parent/guardian and employees with further information and instructions.

We at PACC implement all safety procedures based on CDC and ODP Guidelines, including wearing mask/face shields, sanitizing/disinfecting, handwashing, social distancing, small groups, etc, which minimize your risk of exposure. However, we want to take every extra necessary steps to protect the many people we serve, their families, our employees, and local communities.

For questions and or concerns please contact PACC at (412) 621-6151. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation during these unprecedented times!

Kelly O’Malley CEO.
